Ad platforms
Meta, Google Ads, and TikTok leads delivered straight in, and where X stands.
Leads collected by your ads can arrive in LeadBind the second somebody taps submit, instead of sitting in an ad platform until you remember to export them. The assistant then calls while the person is still holding the phone.
Everything on this page is set up in Connections, then Ad platforms. That screen shows your own webhook address, your own key, and whether anything has actually arrived yet.
What is possible on each platform
| Platform | Delivery | What it needs from you |
|---|---|---|
| Meta | Lead webhook on your Facebook Page | Admin access to the Page |
| Google Ads | Webhook on the lead form asset | Edit access to the campaign |
| TikTok | A connector you authorise on your own ad account | Admin on the TikTok ad account |
| X | Nothing. X does not sell a lead form | Nothing to do |
Google Ads
Google Ads lead form assets deliver by webhook. There is no account connection, no permission screen, and nothing to authorise. You paste two values into the form asset and Google starts sending.
- Open Google Ads and edit the lead form asset attached to your campaign.
- Find the section named Lead delivery option and choose the webhook integration.
- Paste the Webhook URL from the Ad platforms screen into the Webhook URL field.
- Paste the Key from the same screen into the Key field. Google sends the key back on every lead and LeadBind rejects any delivery that does not carry it.
- Select Send test data. Google sends a submission marked as a test.
- Save the asset.
A test is acknowledged and is deliberately not added to your book. A test person is not a customer, and a fake lead in your leads list is a call the assistant places to nobody. The Ad platforms screen shows the time the test arrived instead, which proves the wiring without inventing a lead.
What arrives
Every answer on the form is kept. Name, phone, and email become the lead. A postal code becomes the state when the form did not already ask for one. Every other question, including your own custom questions, is saved on the lead so you can see exactly what the person said.
The campaign and ad group are saved too, so Leads can tell you which campaign is worth the money rather than showing one undifferentiated pile.
If nothing arrives
- Google reports an error on the form asset: the key does not match. Copy it again from the Ad platforms screen. It is case sensitive.
- A test arrives but real leads do not: the asset was not saved after the webhook was added.
- Leads arrive with no phone number: the form does not ask for a phone number. LeadBind needs one, because there is nothing to call otherwise. Add the phone field to the form.
Meta
Meta lead ads use your ordinary lead webhook, the same address any form or vendor can post to.
- Open Meta Events Manager and select the Facebook Page the lead form runs on.
- Add a webhook destination and paste the lead webhook URL from the Ad platforms screen.
- Subscribe the Page to the leadgen field so every new submission is sent.
- Submit one test lead from Meta and confirm it appears on your Leads board.
Meta field names line up closely enough with the names LeadBind already understands that most forms need no mapping at all.
TikTok
TikTok delivers Instant Form leads through connectors you authorise on your own ad account. TikTok also documents a direct API path, but that one runs through the TikTok Marketing API and needs a reviewed developer application, so it is not something you can switch on by yourself today. The connector route is, and it takes a few minutes.
- Open TikTok Ads Manager, go to Tools, then Leads Center. You need to be an admin on the ad account.
- Choose Connect CRM and pick one of the connectors TikTok supports: Zapier, Make, Albato, or LeadsBridge.
- In that connector, add a step that sends an HTTP POST to the Webhook URL from the Ad platforms screen.
- Add the header shown on that screen so the delivery carries your key. LeadBind rejects a delivery without it.
- Send the connector test payload. It is acknowledged and is not added to your book, and the time it arrived appears on the Ad platforms screen.
- Turn the connector on.
One thing to know before you start: TikTok delivers only the leads collected after the form subscription is complete. Anything the form gathered before that is not backfilled, so download those from Leads Center once by hand.
X
There is nothing to set up. X sells eight campaign objectives and none of them is lead generation, and it sells no lead form card, so there is no lead for X to hand over. The Ad platforms screen says the same thing rather than showing a form that would never fill. If X ships a lead form product, that card is where it will appear.
What happens to every lead, whichever platform sent it
Every platform on this page lands on the same path, so the behaviour is identical no matter where the lead came from.
- Deduplicated against your book, on the last ten digits of the phone number and on the email address. The same person filling in two different ads is one lead, not two, so nobody receives two follow-up sequences.
- Grouped into your Inbound Leads list.
- Speed to lead fires, if you have it switched on and it is inside your calling hours.
- Follow-up picks up anyone who did not answer.
Treat the key like a password
The webhook address identifies your account and the key proves the delivery is genuine. Anyone holding both can create leads in your book, and a lead in your book can start a phone call within seconds. Do not paste either into a shared document or a public support thread. If one leaks, contact support and both are rotated together.
Consent is still yours, not the webhook's. A lead arriving from an ad you paid for is not the same thing as permission to call, and the rules do not care which platform sent it. Read Consent and opt-outs before you switch any of this on.
