Snapshots

Template a working account and apply it to the next one.

Take a working account, save its setup as a template, and apply it to the next one. Minutes instead of an afternoon.

An agency feature. Available to org managers.

Why

The fifth roofing client does not need a from-scratch configuration. The hours are similar, the script structure is identical, the automations are the same. Only the specifics change.

Get one account genuinely right, then reuse it.

What gets captured

The setup, not the business.

Captured:

  • Availability structure: hours, appointment length, buffer, minimum notice
  • Workspace mode and industry
  • Automation configuration
  • Assistant persona settings

Deliberately not captured:

  • Leads, calls, and appointments. Obviously.
  • Branding: logo, colors, business name. A template must never paint one client's logo onto another's account. See Branding.
  • Blackout dates and daily caps. These are one person's real life, not a template.
  • Credentials and connections. Nobody's Google Calendar follows a snapshot anywhere.

That exclusion list is the whole safety story. A snapshot carries the shape of a good setup and none of the identity.

Taking one

From Team → Clients, pick the account you got right and capture it. Name it after what it is for: "Roofing, service mode" beats "template 2."

Applying one

Pick the snapshot, pick the target, apply.

It does not overwrite by default. Settings already configured on the target stay. That way applying a template to a half-set-up account fills the gaps rather than wiping the work. Overwrite explicitly if you want it.

Mode mismatches warn rather than block. Applying a service-mode template to a sales-mode account is usually a mistake, occasionally deliberate. You get told, not overruled.

After applying

A snapshot gets you most of the way. It never gets you all the way, because the parts it deliberately skips are the parts that make the account theirs:

  1. Branding: their logo, colors, name
  2. Their script: the template's structure with their actual business in it
  3. Blackout dates and daily cap: their real life
  4. Their number
  5. Google Calendar, theirs, connected by them

Then call it and listen before it goes near a customer. Every time. A snapshot makes a plausible account, not a correct one.
