Get your number

Take a new number, forward your existing one, or forward only what you miss.

Three ways to get calls into LeadBind. Most people should start with the third.

Numbers in the app.

Option 1: take a LeadBind number

Fastest. Pick a local number and start using it in minutes.

Good when you are testing, running ads to a dedicated number, or want the assistant handling a specific campaign without touching your main line.

The downside is that it is a new number. Nobody has it, and it does not appear on your truck.

Option 2: point your number at LeadBind

Forward your existing business line so LeadBind answers everything.

Good when you genuinely cannot get to the phone and would rather the assistant answer than nobody.

The downside is that it answers everything, including the calls you would have wanted. Do not do this until you have heard it on real traffic.

Option 3: forward only what you miss

Your phone rings first. If you do not pick up in a few rings, the call rolls to LeadBind instead of voicemail.

Start here. You lose nothing, you keep every call you want, and the assistant catches the ones that would have become a voicemail nobody returns. It is also the honest way to hear how it performs before you trust it with everything.

Your carrier calls this conditional call forwarding or no-answer forwarding. It is a short code you dial once from your phone. Support can walk you through it for your carrier: get help.

Caller ID

What people see when LeadBind calls them.

Set it to your real business number so a callback reaches you and so people recognize it. A number nobody knows gets ignored.

Caller ID and A2P are separate. Displaying your number is not the same as being registered to text from it. See A2P.

Which calls the assistant answers

Depends on which option you picked:

Setup It answers
LeadBind number Every call to that number
Full forward Every call to your business line
Missed-call forward Only calls you did not pick up

Outbound is separate. Speed to lead and follow-up place calls regardless of how inbound is set up.

Before you send real traffic

Call the number yourself, from a phone that is not in your account, and listen the whole way through. Then see Test before you go live.

Common problems

Calls ring forever and nobody answers. Forwarding is not set up, or it points at the wrong number. Check the number in the app matches what you forwarded to.

It answers calls you wanted. You used full forwarding. Switch to missed-call-only.

Your number does not show on outbound. Caller ID is not set.
