Calls and outcomes
Every outcome LeadBind records, what each means, and what to do about it.
Every call gets an outcome. Knowing what each one means tells you whether your problem is your list, your script, or your calendar.
Open Calls in the app, or ask a connected assistant how your calls went.
The outcomes
| Outcome | What happened | What it usually means |
|---|---|---|
| booked | The call produced an appointment | The system worked. |
| transferred | The caller was handed to a human | Working as intended if you use live transfer. |
| connected | A real conversation, no booking | The most useful outcome to study. See below. |
| voicemail | Reached an answering machine | Normal. Volume matters, not any single one. |
| no_answer | Nobody picked up, or the call never connected | Includes busy, failed dials, and dead numbers. |
| hangup | Answered and ended in under ten seconds | They hung up on you. See below. |
| unresolved | Connected, but the call did not achieve anything | Worth listening to. |
Reading them
Lots of connected and few booked. Your conversations are happening and not converting. That is a script problem or a calendar problem, and you can tell which:
- Open Availability. If your minimum notice is long, or your daily cap is low, or your hours are narrow, the assistant genuinely had nothing to offer. This is the most common cause and the easiest fix.
- If your availability is wide open, it is your script. It is not asking for the appointment clearly enough, or it is qualifying people out that you would happily have seen.
Lots of hangup. People are answering and immediately leaving. Two honest causes:
- They do not know who you are. Check your business name in Branding and the first line of your script.
- They did not expect the call. This is a lead-source problem, and it is the warning sign that matters most. See Consent and opt-outs.
Lots of no_answer. Either the numbers are bad, or you are calling at the wrong time. If a whole batch is no_answer, suspect the list before you suspect the product.
Lots of voicemail. Normal. This is why follow-up sequences exist. One voicemail is not a result; a sequence is.
Any unresolved. The call connected and went nowhere in particular. These are the ones worth actually listening to, because they usually reveal a question your script has no answer for.
Recordings
Calls are recorded and stored in your account. Open a call to listen.
Recordings and transcripts stay inside LeadBind. They are not available through the API, the CLI, or a connected AI assistant, at any permission level. See What we send and Call recording.
What to do with a week of this
Look at the shape, not at individual calls:
- If
no_answerdominates, fix the list or the timing. - If
voicemaildominates, turn on follow-up. - If
connecteddominates but bookings are low, fix Availability first, then your script. - If
hangupdominates, fix who you are calling.
A connected assistant is good at this: "Look at my last two weeks of calls and tell me where I'm losing people."
